Parking in Fitzroy

At Parkhound, we’ve been solving parking problems for Drivers across Australia since 2015. You can use our platform or app to find available parking in your area, including all-day and monthly parking in Fitzroy. We connect you with a range of ‘unconventional’ parking space types such as garages, driveways and carports going unused by homeowners. By helping cities make better use of community space, we’re hoping to help Melbournians save time, spend less on parking and stress less about finding a spot.

For anyone who has unused space and is interested in becoming a Host, making a listing only takes 5 minutes and is free of charge. Our Hosts can make up to $400/month extra in passive income.

Parkhound works by connecting you with local residents who have unused parking spots. Hosts advertise their available spaces on the Parkhound platform and Drivers can then access these parking options via the website or the Parkhound app. When a Driver needs parking, short and/or long-term, simply search by address or suburb and send a booking request for the space you feel best suits your requirements. Once your Host confirms the booking, usually within 24 hours of receiving the request, you can start parking! For most parking spaces, it’s a 100% contactless process.

Monthly parking in Fitzroy can cost over $300/month. As part of the City of Yarra, local businesses in Fitzroy can apply for business parking permits, but the costs do vary depending on the number of vehicles you apply for. These are renewed on a yearly basis and are a very affordable option if you meet the requirements. Keep in mind though, they do take up to 10 days to process so they aren’t suitable if you need a space ASAP.

There’s a number of monthly parking options provided by traditional operators, including Secure and our partner CarePark. Most will need you to request a quote, with prices depending on current availability and whether you want a reserved parking space. The Melbourne Museum does offer monthly parking to commuters for $360/month.
